Who you are contracting with
These terms are between you and , trading as , of . Booking an appointment means you accept them.
The studio is registered for cosmetic skin piercing and semi-permanent makeup with , licence number .
Booking and deposits
- A £20 booking fee secures your appointment. It is non-refundable, and it is deducted from the cost of your treatment on the day.
- Your appointment is not confirmed until the booking fee is paid.
- The booking fee covers your consultation and patch test. If the consultation concludes that treatment is not right for you, the fee still applies — it pays for the professional time either way.
Changes, cancellations and lateness
- 48 hours' notice or more: your booking fee transfers to a new date. An appointment can be moved once using the same fee.
- Less than 48 hours: the booking fee is lost, to cover the lost appointment slot.
- Same-day cancellation or no-show: treated as a no-show. The card held on file is charged 50% of the scheduled service price.
- Monday appointments must be changed by 2:00pm on the preceding Friday.
- Arriving more than 15 minutes late may mean rescheduling if the treatment can no longer be completed safely in the time remaining. Over 15 minutes with no contact is treated as a no-show.
Suitability — please read
Semi-permanent makeup is not suitable for everyone. Treatment will not be carried out if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, are taking blood thinners or Accutane, are undergoing chemotherapy, have uncontrolled diabetes, have keloid-prone skin, or have an active skin condition in the treatment area.
You must disclose relevant medical history honestly at consultation. Treatment may be refused on the day if something comes to light that makes it unsafe — the booking fee is not refunded in that situation, because the professional assessment has still taken place.
A patch test is required at least 24 hours before any first treatment. Without one, treatment cannot go ahead.
Results, and what cannot be promised
Semi-permanent makeup is a two-step process and an individual one. How pigment heals depends on your skin type, age, lifestyle, medication, sun exposure and how well aftercare is followed — none of which is fully within the studio's control.
- A specific healed colour or retention level cannot be guaranteed.
- Brows require a top-up 4–8 weeks after the first appointment, charged separately at £90. Skipping it will affect the final result, and that is not grounds for a complaint.
- Colour correction and removal work is unpredictable by nature and may need several sessions.
- Results typically last 12–18 months before a refresh is worthwhile, but this varies widely.
Aftercare
You will be given written aftercare. Following it is your responsibility, and it materially affects the outcome. Picking, soaking, sun exposure, heavy sweating and makeup over the area during healing will all damage the result.
Age
Treatments are only carried out on clients aged 18 or over. Photo ID may be requested.
Photography
Photographs are taken as part of the clinical record. They are only published — on the website or social media — with your separate written permission, which you can withdraw at any time.
Liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud — the law does not permit that, and no attempt is made to.
Beyond that, liability is limited to the amount you paid for the treatment. The studio is not responsible for outcomes arising from undisclosed medical information or from aftercare not being followed.
Complaints
If you are unhappy with your treatment, contact the studio within 14 days of the appointment so it can be looked at while it is still fresh. Most concerns during healing turn out to be normal stages of the process.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction.
